Welcome,
Thank you for visiting the Lake Norman Rod and Gun Club website. Our Club was founded in 1994 by a group of sportsmen in northern Mecklenburg County so they could pursue their hunting and fishing endeavors. Our 50 or so members regularly participate in outdoor activities such as wingshooting, clays and skeet, deer hunting, and fresh/saltwater fishing.
We have several meetings per year where we join together for fellowship, a great meal, and often bring in an outside speaker. One of the highlights of the year is our annual Wild Game Dinner that we hold each Spring—with our Club members preparing their favorite recipes to share with their friends.
We hope to see you in the field, on the clays course, or on the water.
The purposes for which the Club is formed are:
(a) to dedicate itself by social and educational means to the conservation and propagation of fish, game and wildlife of the State of North Carolina and the United States;
(b) to support true sportsmanship in a lawful manner among the members of the Club and all others who shoot, hunt and fish;
(c) to promote and encourage field sports and good fellowship;
(d) to encourage support of the fish and game laws of the State of North Carolina and the United States; and
(e) to enable its members to enjoy the social and recreational benefits provided by association with like-minded individuals sharing a common interest in outdoor recreation.
